This talk is based on joint works with Prof. J. Chen and Dr. Y. Gao. I will take the Korteweg--de Vries equation as an example, and introduce some recent results on the existence and stability of solitary waves in some one-dimensional water wave models, especially for the critical and supercritical cases.

韩芳宇，北京大学数学科学学院博士后，2023年于厦门大学获得博士学位，研究兴趣主要集中在偏微分方程解的稳定性和爆破动力学，部分成果发表在SIAM J. Math. Anal.，Sci. China Math.等数学期刊上。
